Message When you hit the clutch pedal fast the stock stamped fork will bend/flex even more than when driving normally and this is when you need the clutch to release as quick as possible. May not be something you notice but it is saving your trans.

The cast iron fork will, without doubt, release the clutch better/quicker causing less wear on syncros.

A puck style clutch will pretty much always release enough to not make a huge noticeable difference as there is no squish to the disk itself like a full face clutch. In our experience the clutch normally has about a 1/2"-3/4" higher release point with the cast fork with no adjustments made before or after install, This has been with every clutch we've installed, OS Giken, RPS/SZ , South Bend and even Stock clutches.

The 03 and early 04 305z and G35's used the same fork as the 300zx, The changed over to the cast fork in late 04 because the transmissions were wearing out syncros due to poor clutch release causing gears to drag slightly, Again, not noticeable until the trans got worn out and started to grind.
